I'm Betsy Wendt, a Brooklyn-based creative with a passion for visual storytelling. My creative journey began with a Barbie Polaroid camera at age six, and has since evolved through high school yearbook photography, a psychology degree from Rutgers University (sprinkled with creative electives), and extensive experience in branding and design.
My first post-grad adventure was at DailyPay, where I transitioned from customer service to building their in-house creative studio, Daybreak Studios. For over eight years, I led a team of designers, videographers, and motion graphics artists, becoming the go-to source for everything from B2B marketing materials to brand awareness ad campaigns. We tackled it all: branding, design, video, animation – the works. This experience ignited my passion for helping companies discover and express their unique identity. I also lent my voice to DailyPay as their voiceover artist.
Beyond DailyPay, I've freelanced for local businesses, crafting brand identities and visual strategies. My background in psychology informs my approach to understanding audiences and creating impactful solutions. I bring a collaborative spirit and a love for design to every project.
When I'm not immersed in the creative world, you can find me exploring Brooklyn with my dog, curled up with a sci-fi novel or a good horror movie, experimenting with new cocktail recipes, or adding another piece to my art collection. And yes, I confess – I'm a big Bravo fan. I was also in a band once, but that's a story for another time.
